In her role as Business Development Representative for the Maker Foundation in Latin America, Nadia Alvarez develops alliances with organizations interested in integrating a vision of decentralized finance. Before joining the Maker Foundation, Nadia worked in the most important technology corporations in the region promoting innovative software projects in the financial sector. The Maker Foundation is the organization that facilitates the development of MakerDAO.

MakerDAO governs the Maker Protocol and Dai, the first decentralized stablecoin backed by collateral within the Ethereum blockchain. Dai mitigates volatility through an autonomous smart contract system called Protocol Maker, and through decentralized community governance.
